Why this record exists

Every government counts on one thing: that by the next election, you will have forgotten. The scam becomes "old news". The failure becomes "a matter under investigation". The abuse becomes "a closed chapter". Public memory is the only real accountability a democracy has between elections — and public memory is exactly what gets managed, diluted, and erased.

wewillalwaysremember.in is a citizen-maintained, permanent public record of scams, policy failures, and abuses of power by governments of India. It exists so that the record outlives the news cycle.

Our rules — the same for every party

• Every government, since the beginning. The record starts with the Republic, not with any one party. No government is exempt and none is singled out.
• Every entry cites sources. An entry without verifiable sources — official reports, court judgments, credible journalism — cannot be published. The build literally fails without them.
• Allegation is not conviction. Every entry carries an honest status label: alleged, under investigation, acquitted, convicted, judicially confirmed, or documented record. When a court acquits, the record says so plainly.
• Neutral language. Entries state what happened, what official bodies found, and where the matter stands. No abuse, no speculation, no editorialising.

How to contribute

This is an open-source project, and you do not need to be technical to add to it. Email a suggestion with sources, fill in a guided form, or open a pull request — all three paths are explained on the contribute page. If you believe an entry is wrong or unfair, send a correction with sources the same way. Corrections are part of the record too.

Who runs this

No party. No sponsor. No ads. Only citizens, and only sources. The entire site — code and content — is public, so its neutrality can be audited by anyone at any time.
